1. Without prejudice to other particulars required by special legislation, in all contracts, correspondence, publications, announcements and websites and, generally, in all their external activity, companies must clearly state, in addition to their business name, their type, their registered office, the registry office at which they are registered, their registration number and legal person identification number and, where applicable, the fact that the company is in liquidation.
1 - Sem prejuízo de outras menções exigidas por leis especiais, em todos os contratos, correspondência, publicações, anúncios, sítios na Internet e de um modo geral em toda a actividade externa, as sociedades devem indicar claramente, além da firma, o tipo, a sede, a conservatória do registo onde se encontrem matriculadas, o seu número de matrícula e de identificação de pessoa colectiva e, sendo caso disso, a menção de que a sociedade se encontra em liquidação.
2. Private limited companies, public limited companies and partnerships limited by shares must also state their share capital, the amount of capital paid up, if different, and the amount of their equity according to the last approved balance sheet, whenever that equity is equal to or less than half of the share capital.
2 - As sociedades por quotas, anónimas e em comandita por acções devem ainda indicar o capital social, o montante do capital realizado, se for diverso, e o montante do capital próprio segundo o último balanço aprovado, sempre que este for igual ou inferior a metade do capital social.
3. Paragraph 1 applies to branches of companies with their registered office abroad, and such branches must, in addition to the particulars referred to therein, also state the registry office at which they are registered and their registration number at that registry office.
3 - O disposto no n.º 1 é aplicável às sucursais de sociedades com sede no estrangeiro, devendo estas, para além dos elementos aí referidos, indicar ainda a conservatória do registo onde se encontram matriculadas e o respectivo número de matrícula nessa conservatória.
