1. Members of the board of directors, managers or members of the executive boards (direções) of public limited companies, private limited companies or cooperatives may sign and authenticate themselves electronically, validating their professional capacity, by means of the Professional Attributes Certification System (Sistema de Certificação de Atributos Profissionais – SCAP).
1 - Os membros do Conselho de Administração, Gerentes ou Direções, das Sociedades Anónimas, Sociedades por Quotas ou Cooperativas, podem assinar e autenticarem-se eletronicamente, validando a respetiva qualidade profissional, através do recurso ao Sistema de Certificação de Atributos Profissionais (SCAP).
2. Persons to whom powers have been delegated may likewise sign or authenticate themselves electronically by means of SCAP, under the terms of the preceding paragraph.

3. Acts performed using the digital signature and authentication certificates contained in the Citizen Card and the Digital Mobile Key, in which the holder invokes the capacity verified by means of SCAP, are presumed to have been performed by that holder.
3 - Os atos praticados através da utilização dos certificados digitais de assinatura e autenticação constantes do Cartão de Cidadão e da Chave Móvel Digital, em que seja invocada pelo seu titular a qualidade verificada através do recurso ao SCAP, presumem-se da sua autoria.
4. Acts performed on Public Administration websites using the digital authentication certificates contained in the Citizen Card and the Digital Mobile Key, in which the holder invokes the capacity verified by means of SCAP, are presumed to have been performed by that holder, and the holder’s signature is not required.
4 - Os atos praticados nos sítios na Internet da Administração Pública através da utilização dos certificados digitais de autenticação constantes do Cartão de Cidadão e da Chave Móvel Digital, em que seja invocada pelo seu titular a qualidade verificada através do recurso ao SCAP, presumem-se da sua autoria, dispensando-se a sua assinatura.
5. The capacity invoked and the delegated powers and competences are verified by the registry services, lawyers, solicitors (solicitadores) and notaries by means of SCAP, under the terms and conditions laid down in the order of the members of the Government responsible for administrative modernisation and justice.

The persons entitled to use SCAP (including delegates), the presumptions of authorship for acts performed with Citizen Card and Digital Mobile Key certificates, the dispensing with signature on Public Administration websites, the verifying entities, the implementing order and AMA, I. P.'s management role are retained.
