This Convention shall remain in force until terminated by one of the Contracting States. Either Contracting State may terminate this Convention, through diplomatic channels, by giving notice of termination at least six months before the end of any calendar year beginning after the expiry of five years from the date of entry into force of this Convention. In such event, this Convention shall cease to have effect:
A presente Convenção permanecerá em vigor enquanto não for denunciada por um Estado Contratante. Qualquer Estado Contratante poderá denunciar a presente Convenção por via diplomática, mediante aviso de denúncia, com pelo menos seis meses de antecedência em relação ao fim de qualquer ano civil com início após o decurso de cinco anos a contar da data de entrada em vigor da presente Convenção. Nesse caso, a presente Convenção deixará de produzir efeitos:
(i) in respect of taxes withheld at source, where the event giving rise to them occurs on or after the first day of January next following the date specified in the notice of termination; and
(i) Quanto aos impostos devidos na fonte, quando o facto gerador ocorra a partir do dia 1 de janeiro imediatamente seguinte à data especificada no aviso de denúncia; e
(ii) in respect of other taxes, for taxable periods beginning on or after the first day of January next following the date specified in the notice of termination;
(ii) Quanto aos demais impostos, relativamente aos períodos de tributação com início a partir do dia 1 de janeiro imediatamente seguinte à data especificada no aviso de denúncia;
(i) in respect of taxes withheld at source, for amounts paid or credited on or after the first day of January next following the date specified in the notice of termination;
(i) Quanto aos impostos devidos na fonte, relativamente a importâncias pagas ou devidas a partir do dia 1 de janeiro imediatamente seguinte à data especificada no aviso de denúncia;
(ii) in respect of income tax and capital gains tax, for any year of assessment beginning on or after the sixth day of April next following the date specified in the notice of termination; and
(ii) Quanto ao imposto sobre o rendimento e ao imposto sobre as mais-valias, relativamente a qualquer ano fiscal com início a partir do dia 6 de abril imediatamente seguinte à data especificada no aviso de denúncia; e
(iii) in respect of corporation tax, for any financial year beginning on or after the first day of April next following the date specified in the notice of termination.
(iii) Quanto ao imposto sobre as sociedades, relativamente a qualquer exercício com início a partir do dia 1 de abril imediatamente seguinte à data especificada no aviso de denúncia.
