1. For the purposes of Article 42, carriers, at the time the data are collected, provide the passengers concerned with the following information:
1 - Para efeitos de aplicação do disposto no artigo 42.º, as transportadoras, no momento da recolha dos dados, prestam as seguintes informações aos passageiros em causa:
b) The purposes of the processing for which the data are intended;
b) Finalidades do tratamento a que os dados se destinam;
c) Any further information, having regard to the specific circumstances in which the data are collected, necessary to guarantee fair processing of the data in respect of the person concerned, such as the recipients or categories of recipients of the data, whether a reply is obligatory and the possible consequences of failure to reply, and the existence of the right of access to and the right to rectify the data concerning them.
c) Outras informações, tendo em conta as circunstâncias específicas da recolha dos dados, necessárias para garantir à pessoa em causa um tratamento leal dos mesmos, tais como os destinatários ou categorias de destinatários dos dados, o carácter obrigatório da resposta, bem como as possíveis consequências da sua omissão, e a existência do direito de acesso aos dados que lhe digam respeito e do direito de os rectificar.
2. Where the data have not been collected from the person to whom they relate, the controller or its representative provides the person concerned with the information referred to in the preceding paragraph when the data are recorded or, at the latest, when the data are first disclosed.
2 - Quando os dados não tenham sido recolhidos junto da pessoa a que dizem respeito, o responsável pelo seu tratamento, ou o seu representante, fornece à pessoa em causa, no momento em que os dados sejam registados ou o mais tardar no momento da primeira comunicação desses dados, as informações referidas no número anterior.
