1. Personal data may be retained in the database for 10 years from the date on which the registration is cancelled, without prejudice to their retention in the context of ongoing investigations or court proceedings.

2. Without prejudice to the preceding paragraph, loss of beneficial owner status shall result in the personal data concerned being transferred to the historical archive, where they may be retained for 10 years from the date of the declaration updating the information.
