1. For property used for housing, the area adjustment coefficient (Caj) is applied to the gross private and ancillary area and varies according to area bands, in accordance with the following table and on the basis of the following formulas:

5. For building land, the area adjustment coefficient (Caj) is applied to the authorised or planned buildings, in accordance with the following rules:
5 - Nos terrenos para construção, o coeficiente de ajustamento de áreas (Caj) é aplicado às edificações autorizadas ou previstas, de acordo com as seguintes regras:
a) Where there is only one use, the corresponding table applies;
a) Quando existir apenas uma afectação, aplica-se a tabela correspondente;
b) Where there is more than one use, with a breakdown of area, the table corresponding to each use applies;
b) Quando existir mais de uma afectação, com discriminação de área, aplica-se a tabela correspondente a cada uma das afectações;
c) Where there is more than one use and it is not possible to establish the breakdown referred to in the preceding point, the table for the economically predominant use applies.
