1. An extension of stay applied for under Article 72(3) of Law No. 23/2007 of 4 July, as amended, is granted whenever there are acceptable personal or humanitarian reasons.

3. An application for an extension of the visas provided for in Article 52-A of Law No. 23/2007 of 4 July, as amended, is automatically approved, unless any of the grounds for refusal provided for in paragraph 1(c) of that article arises or any fact has been entered in the criminal record that warrants consideration of the extension.
3 - É automaticamente deferido o pedido de prorrogação dos vistos previstos no artigo 52.º-A da Lei n.º 23/2007, de 4 de julho, na sua redação atual, salvo se ocorrer algum dos motivos de recusa previsto na alínea c) do n.º 1 daquele artigo ou tenha havido inscrição no registo criminal de qualquer facto que justifique ponderação da prorrogação.
