1. Once notified under Article 38(3) of Law No. 23/2007 of 4 July, as amended, the carrier shall bear all costs relating to the stay of the foreign national in the international zone concerned or in an accommodation unit located within national territory until the time of re-embarkation.
1 - Compete ao transportador, logo que notificado nos termos do n.º 3 do artigo 38.º da Lei n.º 23/2007, de 4 de julho, na sua redação atual, suportar todos os encargos inerentes à permanência do cidadão estrangeiro na respetiva zona internacional ou em unidade habitacional situada no interior de território nacional até ao momento do seu reembarque.
2. The expenses referred to in Article 41(4) of Law No. 23/2007 of 4 July, as amended, include, in addition to the fee provided for, the corresponding per diem allowances, personal accident insurance, transport and accommodation, as well as other expenses arising directly from carrying out the escort.
2 - As despesas mencionadas no n.º 4 do artigo 41.º da Lei n.º 23/2007, de 4 de julho, na sua redação atual, incluem, além da taxa prevista, as correspondentes ajudas de custo, seguro de acidentes pessoais, transporte, alojamento, bem como outras diretamente decorrentes da execução da escolta.
3. The regime referred to in the preceding paragraph applies to situations in which the carrier requests an escort, provided that the competent security force concludes that it is necessary.
3 - O regime mencionado no número anterior aplica-se às situações relativamente às quais o transportador solicite escolta, desde que a força de segurança competente conclua pela sua necessidade.
4. In the case of transport by sea, shipowners and the shipping agents representing them are jointly and severally liable for the costs.
