1. Changes occurring in the boundaries of properties, through the transfer of part of them, subdivision or any other cause, must be notified by the services of the Directorate-General for Taxation (DGCI) to the Portuguese Geographic Institute (Instituto Geográfico Português), so that it can make the corresponding changes to the plot maps and their duplicates.
1 - As modificações que se verifiquem nos limites dos prédios, por transmissão de parte deles, parcelamento ou qualquer outra causa, devem ser comunicadas pelos serviços da Direcção-Geral dos Impostos ao Instituto Geográfico Português, para que este possa proceder às correspondentes alterações nos mapas parcelares e seus duplicados.
2. The valuers who make the changes provided for in this article may, where justified, update the plot map beyond the changes requested, except for the boundaries with other owners.
2 - Os peritos que procedam às alterações previstas neste artigo podem, quando se justifique, actualizar o mapa parcelar para além das alterações requeridas, com excepção das estremas com outros proprietários.
3. In the division of properties at the request of the interested parties, the valuer may correct the distribution of the divided plots.
3 - Na divisão de prédios, a requerimento dos interessados, o perito pode corrigir a distribuição das parcelas divididas.
4. When changes are made, tariffs may be set for types and classes not considered in the original tables, by analogy with similar ones in neighbouring parishes.
4 - Nas alterações podem ser fixadas tarifas de qualidades e classes não consideradas nos quadros primitivos por analogia com outras semelhantes de freguesias próximas.
5. Whenever the changes provided for in paragraph 1 occur, the valuer of the Portuguese Geographic Institute responsible for making the corresponding changes to the plot maps may also correct the type and class assigned to the divided plots, if the valuer finds that those changes require them to be corrected.
5 - Sempre que ocorram as modificações previstas no n.º 1, o perito do Instituto Geográfico Português encarregado de introduzir nos mapas parcelares as correspondentes alterações pode ainda corrigir a qualificação e classificação das parcelas divididas, se verificar que tais alterações implicam a sua correcção.
