1. The following have jurisdiction to apply the autonomous expulsion measure:
1 - São competentes para aplicar a medida autónoma de expulsão:
a) Within their respective areas of jurisdiction, the minor criminal jurisdiction divisions (juízos de pequena instância criminal);
a) Nas respectivas áreas de jurisdição, os juízos de pequena instância criminal;
b) In the remaining areas of the country, the district courts (tribunais de comarca).

2. Territorial jurisdiction is determined by the foreign national’s residence in Portugal or, failing that, by the place where they are found.
