1. An application for a residence visa for the exercise of a self-employed professional activity included in the list of professions in force for the identification of personal income tax (IRS) taxpayers shall be accompanied by:

a) Company articles of association (contrato de sociedade), or a contract or written proposal for a contract for the provision of services;
a) Contrato de sociedade ou contrato ou proposta escrita de contrato de prestação de serviços;
b) Where applicable, a declaration issued by the entity competent to verify the requirements for exercising a profession which, in Portugal, is subject to special qualifications.

2. An application for a residence visa for immigrant entrepreneurs who intend to invest in Portugal or have already done so shall be accompanied by:
2 - O pedido de visto de residência para imigrantes empreendedores que pretendam investir em Portugal ou já o tenham feito é acompanhado de:
b) Proof that the applicant has carried out investment operations; or
b) Comprovativo de que efectuou operações de investimento; ou
c) Proof that the applicant has financial resources available in Portugal, including resources obtained from a financial institution in Portugal, and of the intention to carry out an investment operation in Portuguese territory, duly described and identified; or
c) Comprovativo de que possui meios financeiros disponíveis em Portugal, incluindo os obtidos junto de instituição financeira em Portugal, e da intenção de proceder a uma operação de investimento em território português, devidamente descrita e identificada; ou
d) A declaration from IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (IAPMEI – Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação, I. P.) confirming the conclusion of an incubation contract with a certified incubator, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Check that paragraph 1 is limited to activities on the list of professions used to identify IRS taxpayers, the documents in paragraph 1(a) and (b), and that paragraph 2(b), (c) and (d) are alternatives (‘or’), with point (a) and paragraph 3 shown as repealed.
