1. The purpose of the accommodation form is to enable the monitoring of foreign nationals in national territory.
1 - O boletim de alojamento destina-se a permitir o controlo dos cidadãos estrangeiros em território nacional.
2. An accommodation form, the model of which is approved by order (portaria) of the Minister of Internal Administration, is completed and signed in person for each foreign national, including nationals of the other Member States of the European Union.
2 - Por cada cidadão estrangeiro, incluindo os nacionais dos outros Estados membros da União Europeia, é preenchido e assinado pessoalmente um boletim de alojamento, cujo modelo é aprovado por portaria do Ministro da Administração Interna.
3. It is not compulsory for both spouses and the minors accompanying them, or for all members of a travel group, to complete and sign the forms in person; this obligation may be fulfilled by one of the spouses or by one member of the group.
3 - Não é obrigatório o preenchimento e a assinatura pessoal dos boletins por ambos os cônjuges e menores que os acompanhem, bem como por todos os membros de um grupo de viagem, podendo esta obrigação ser cumprida por um dos cônjuges ou por um membro do referido grupo.
4. In order to simplify the submission of accommodation forms, hotel and similar establishments must register with the Borders and Foreigners Coordination Unit (UCFE) as users of the Accommodation Form Information System, so that they can communicate the forms electronically under secure conditions.
4 - Com vista a simplificar o envio dos boletins de alojamento, os estabelecimentos hoteleiros e similares devem proceder ao seu registo junto da Unidade de Coordenação de Fronteiras e Estrangeiros (UCFE) como utilizadores do Sistema de Informação de Boletins de Alojamento, por forma a poderem proceder à respetiva comunicação eletrónica em condições de segurança.
5. The forms and their duplicates, as well as the substitute media referred to in the preceding paragraph, are kept for a period of one year from the day following notification of departure.
5 - Os boletins e respectivos duplicados, bem como os suportes substitutos referidos no número anterior, são conservados pelo prazo de um ano contado a partir do dia seguinte ao da comunicação da saída.
