1. The place where the residence card will be delivered shall be indicated by a communication sent to the holder’s address as given under Article 51.

2. Save as provided in paragraph 4, the residence card shall always be delivered in person, at the offices of the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA), to the holder or to the person representing a holder who is a minor or an accompanied adult (maior acompanhado) requiring representation for that act, after the relevant biometric data have been collected and confirmed in accordance with the applicable legislation and this Regulatory Decree.
2 - Salvo o disposto no n.º 4, o título de residência é sempre entregue presencialmente, nos serviços da AIMA, I. P., ao titular, ou à pessoa que represente o titular menor ou maior acompanhado que careça de representação para o ato, após recolha e confirmação dos respetivos dados biométricos nos termos da legislação aplicável e do presente decreto regulamentar.
3. Other ways of delivering the residence card, and the security conditions required for that purpose, shall be laid down by order (portaria) of the members of the Government responsible for migration and administrative modernisation; in all cases, the biometric data referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be collected and confirmed.
3 - São estabelecidas por portaria dos membros do Governo responsáveis pelas áreas das migrações e da modernização administrativa outras formas de entrega do título de residência e as condições de segurança exigidas para o efeito, devendo em todos os casos proceder-se à recolha e à confirmação dos respetivos dados biométricos referidos no número anterior.
4. The information needed to issue the residence card may be collected wherever the applicant is located, if the applicant produces duly substantiated evidence of an illness that prevents them from travelling by their own means to the issuing offices.
4 - A recolha dos elementos necessários para a emissão do título de residência pode realizar-se no local onde se encontre o requerente, se este produzir prova devidamente justificada da doença que o incapacite de se poder deslocar, pelos seus próprios meios, aos serviços emitentes.
5. An increased fee is payable for the provision of the off-site service, and the cost of the transport needed for the journey shall be borne by the applicant.
5 - Pela realização do serviço externo é devido o pagamento de uma taxa acrescida, sendo o pagamento do custo do transporte necessário à deslocação assegurado pelo requerente.
