1. Impairment losses on inventories, recognised in the same tax period or in previous tax periods, are deductible in determining taxable profit up to the limit of the difference between the acquisition or production cost of the inventories and their net realisable value at the balance sheet date, where the latter is lower than the former.

2. For the purposes of the preceding paragraph, net realisable value means the estimated selling price in the ordinary course of the taxpayer’s business, determined in accordance with Article 26(4), less the costs necessary for completion and sale.

#

3. The partial or total reversal of the impairment losses provided for in paragraph 1 contributes to the formation of taxable profit.

#

4. For taxpayers carrying on publishing activities, the accumulated annual amount of impairment losses corresponds to the loss in value of publishing stock consisting of works and complementary items, provided that two years have elapsed since the date of publication, which for this purpose is deemed to coincide with the date of legal deposit of each edition.

#

5. The decline in value of publishing stock must be evaluated on the basis of the information in the records showing the movement of the works included in that stock.
